Abstract

Hemorrhage is a major contributor of mortality and a major cause of potentially preventable deaths. Massive hemorrhage is associated with tissue hypoperfusion and tissue hypoxia. Transfusion is an essential treatment to restore blood loss, but it can cause fatal complications. It is a key element to minimize hemorrhage by early detection and hemostatic resuscitation, which prevents complications and adverse effects of massive transfusion in traumatized patients with massive hemorrhage.
