Abstract
mall bowel obstruction is a common surgical emergency, and strangulation is the most severe complication. Therefore, rapid, accurate diagnosis is very important to prevent complications such as sepsis, peritonitis and multi-organ failure. We report a case of delayed diagnosis and surgical intervention in a 75-year-old male who presented with a closed loop obstruction that required emergency surgery. (J Acute Care Surg 2014;4:28-30)
